Instructions and Notes for Goodrich Players

Step 1 - If you have not already done so, download the Dropbox App and create an account

Step 2 - From your device, open this link

Review and select the songs you want to download
Click the download or three dots in the upper right corner (system will ask where you want to save the files)
Create a folder in Dropbox to download the songs into
Click Save to Dropbox

Downloading only new or revised songs

If you download to a computer first:

Attach your iPad OR iPhone ( with a USB cable [it's the cable that you use to charge your iPad ]
Open ITunes on your computer
Find your iPad on the iTunes interface

Downloading the music files for Printing

Note: you may wish to add these links to your favorite list (or bookmark them) for future use.

Printing songs

Open the folder where you downloaded the files
Click individual songs you wish to print
Select 'print' to send those songs to your printer

Note: There is one file called "song book". Printing this file will only print a catalogue of the songs, and not the songs themselves.

Printing the files at Staples

You can move downloaded files to a flash drive or CD and take it to Staples. They will print out the files on paper that have punch holes for a loose leaf book. I think they charge about $31.00.

Using the files while offline:

In some cases due, to the large number of people logging in from our group, some people may have difficulties logging onto the Wifi. To mitigate this,

You may also consider one of the music storage apps available or marking (starring the files) while at home so that they are stored locally on your tablet.

If you Select a file(s) on your iPad after you put them into Dropbox you don't have to be connected to a WiFi to see the Song files in Dropbox (Note: these selected files will then use up space on your iPad)

To select files for offline use: Press the icon that looks like a page with an arrow pointing down (It's at the top right) You can also add a music App that stores music files on your iPad.

Other storage options for offline use:

I use an App called Music Binder. Some use a popular App called forScore. Both let you transfer the PDF files from Dropbox, opening up space on the Dropbox cloud and you do not need to be connected to WiFi location to use the song files.

Bluetooth Foot Pedals

You can also purchase a Bluetooth foot pedal to remotely turn song pages if you're playing an instrument.
